La Caya Vintage Robusto Cigar, 1997 Series, features a Connecticut shade-grown wrapper. It's a mild cigar that has a blend of Cuban-seed Dominican Piloto and Nicaraguan Habano long-fillers, in a Cuban-seed Piloto binder and a natural shade-grown Connecticut wrapper. This combination of aged tobacco provides a mild smoke with a rich and smooth taste. You'll sense waves of cedar, toasted nuts and a little nutmeg. The finish is as good as the beginning, smooth and mellow.

After these cigars were skillfully handmade, they were extensively aged in a cedar lined aging room before being hand-packed in Cuban style boxes of 25 cigars. La Caya has been making cigars in the Cibao tobacco region of the Dominican Republic since 1997. While they're a well known cigar maker in the industry, they're not well known to cigar smokers.     I agree they are a bit on the "dry" side when they arrived. These are the third box I ordered, and yes they have been consistently, but they certainly do get better with a bit of time in the humidor. I will purchase them again.

    I received La Caya vintage MADURO Robusto instead.
    I'm very pleased with these cigars. Great flavor,
    Esthetically pleasing too. A very nice daily cigar. Not dry or tasteless(After humidification). Plus pricing you can't go wrong.

    This is my second box of La Caya cigars. My first was the same except in Churchill size. When these arrived they were a bit dry. I always try a cigar right when I receive it and let the rest set in the humi for a few days. They definately improve with age. At this price you can stick up, I mean stock up and offer to your friends. Only you will know how affordable they are!!

    I have been smoking cigars for ten years. I have sampled some very expensive brands, and some very inexpensive ones. I know what I like, and what I don't like in a cigar, and this cigar ranks just a little below my absolute favorites. I would put it head and shoulders above 90% of the smokes I've tried. At this price, I don't no of another that comes this close.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
