OUR BEST PREMIUM CIGARS - J.L. SALAZAR y HERMANOS Reserva Especial Torpedo size are our best classic Cuban Box-Pressed premium cigars. They are silky and smooth, and their distinguished complex taste is full-bodied with well balanced sweet floral flavors and hints of mild spices, cocoa, coffee and chocolate. The master rollers have handmade each one to draw firmly and to burn evenly. The tobacco leaves are aged for over three years and specially cured through four fermentations. The Filler is a sun-grown Cuban Seed Habano tobacco from Tabacalera Esteli. The Binder is a wrapper quality Cuban Seed Habano 2000 leaf and the Wrapper is a flawless Ecuadorian grown Cuban Seed Habano leaf. Every cigar is made in the same old fashioned way that the Salazar Family made them in Cuba and only with the best tobacco available anywhere. The Torpedo cigars are 6¼” long and has a large ring gauge of 54.

Since 1810, when the Salazar family settled in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba, they have been growing some of the worlds best tobacco, and handcrafting fine Puros. At 12 noon every day, the 4 Salazar brothers would meet in the porch of elder brother Mario’s house. Mario would open his burlap bag which contained the finest tobacco leaves of the farm’s harvest. The cured leaves were perfect in appearance and taste.They were envied by all the farmers in Cuba’s prime tobacco growing region. The burlap bag would be passed around and each brother would roll their own Cubans. They would each roll enough for the day’s smoke. Each would have a different preferred size but the blend would always be the same for all four brothers.

Mario’s sons, J.L. Salazar and his brothers, have carried on that tradition and special blend of tobacco leaves in these exquisite boutique cigars. The J.L. Salazar y Hermanos Cabinet Selection are each totally handmade by a master roller. They use the secret blend that the Salazar Brothers brought from Cuba and with only the finest Cuban Seed leaves. The mellow and rich premium taste is unmatched. After trying these cigars, you too will know why J.L. Salazar and his brothers are so proud of their family tradition.

    have had the same problem with JL Salazar which used to be my favorites so I switched to LaCarolina which are as good as salazars

    These used to be great. However, I ordered a box last year and the harsh, bitter and too loosely rolled. This. Amuses them to burn too hot and to tunnel. Cuban Crafters needs to do some work on quality control. I have had problems on my last three orders.

    Several years ago a friend took me to the store in Miami. Ever since, this is my favorite cigar that I always come back to. Highly recommend if you like medium body, spicy but smooth, consistent draw. Thank you Armando for introducing me to Cuban Crafters and the JL Salazar line of cigars.

    Lots of smoke and flavor for the price. People pay double for these at cigar shops that over charge. Even the the most picky cigar smoker will bask in this smoke.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
